Dunlap Cafe

Established in 1936, The Dunlap Cafe is the longest continually running establishment in Cincinnati's Over-The-Rhine neighborhood, having served breakfast, lunch, and a whole lot of adult beverages in the same spot for over 80 years. We did an initial rebrand in 2017, creating a classic style shield/badge design and creating a brand new website.

Dunlap Cafe Logo 2017

Since the initial redesign, the owners decided to make the unofficial mascot, a metal jockey statue in the dining area dawning aviator sunglasses, the OFFICIAL mascot of the historic cafe. The logo was updated with an illustration of the beloved mascot, “Mr. Dunlap” as he has become affectionately known, brighter colors, and a new script font to work within the more playful nature of the logo. With the logo redesign, we also updated the website with the updated branding and brighter colors.

Mr. Dunlap has since been incorporated into merchandise, promotional posters, updated menus, social media posts, and even a hanging air freshener.
